Welcome to my website. I created it for both my photography and print work in addition to a place where I can publish my writing concerning a wide array of topics-some technical some not.
With regards to photography, I take pride in controlling the entirety of the creative process; from mental conception to framed print, I do not contract any of the steps out. It begins with choosing an aperture and shutter speed to achieve desired exposure and then continues on to selecting the correct ICC printer profile. This is followed by making an artistic choice in the selection of the paper medium to use-ideally one that will highlight the image properties and characteristics to render the picture as you envisioned. Ultimately it ends with a print hanging in a custom cut mat and frame stained to taste. There are many steps to the process, each stage requiring a specific mastery and understanding unique to itself, but each yielding equal amounts of satisfaction in return.
With the ability to literally freeze time photography is something that has fascinated me since I picked up my father’s old Nikon film camera as a young boy. After surviving the subsequent wrath that comes with touching an old Italian man’s things, I began a journey to understand how to master and manipulate light to one’s desired outcome-the pursuit of which I expect to last a lifetime.
